Alexander Scriabin was deeply influenced by philosophy and mysticism, particularly theosophy. He saw music as a means to achieve spiritual transcendence and believed in a merging of art, religion, and philosophy, culminating in a grand, transformative experience. His philosophy, often expressed through his music, explored themes of self-realization, the unity of the universe, and the potential for humanity to achieve a state of divine consciousness.
